Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry has withdrawn the accreditation of the correspondent of the Russian Rossiyskaya Gazeta Alexander Gatsak in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports, citing the Russian news agency TASS.
“Alexander Gatsak has informed the management of Rossiyskaya Gazeta that the Russian embassy in Sofia received notification by the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the withdrawal of his accreditation and his extradition, no reasons have been stated,” Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes. According to TASS, at the end of September, Gatsak was summoned, by telephone, to the migration service. On his way there, again by telephone, he was summoned to the State Agency for National Security.
At the same time in Sofia, the migration service deported a representative of the Russian church. “A. A. Gatsak arrived at the Russian embassy in Sofia and has not left its territory since for security reasons,” TASS says.
