Over 70% of the cars registered in Bulgaria have been in operation for more than 15 years, as passenger cars up to 5 years are only 4.5%. This became clear during the discussion of policies and measures for the introduction of sustainable and ecological mobility in the Ministry of Environment and Water, BTA reported.

Other topics discussed were the possibility of creating a single register of used cars, which would contain information on registration, insurance, technical inspections, performed repairs, actual mileage and other data on the condition of the car.

The round of talks also discussed the preparation of a Law for the promotion of electric mobility, as well as the various mechanisms at the national and local level to support the owners of electric cars.
