Tennis fans take pictures with the Sofia Open cup

A number of tennis supporters touched and subsequently took pictures with the cup from the Sofia Open 2023 tournament, BGNES reported. The competition in the Bulgarian capital will last until November 11, and the first three days will be in the Sofia hall, and the main part - in Arena Sofia hall.


The special event "The Cup Meets the Fans" started at 12:30 in the center of Sofia, as he organizers provided for the first time in the history of the tournament an opportunity for tennis fans to touch the trophy.

Accompanying the cup were our national competitors Dimitar Kuzmanov and Alexander Lazarov, as well as tournament director Orlin Stanoichev. All three posed for pictures with both the trophy and sports fans. Some of the admirers also took autographs from those present at the event. 

Kuzmanov and Lazarov received a "wild card" for the main draw of the scheme. In doubles, two Bulgarian tandems also got a "wild card" - Alexander Lazarov/Alexander Donski and Petr Nesterov/Yanaki Milev.

The draw for the eighth edition of the Sofia Open tournament is today at 7.30 pm.
