MPs fail to make decision on the vote of no confidence

The MPs found themselves in a deadlock when voting the motion of no confidence in the cabinet of Nikolai Denkov, requested by the opposition parties BSP, ITN and "Vazrazhdane" over failure in the National Security and Defense sector. The parliament failed to take a decision due to lack of quorum.

The situation unfolded after the representatives of GERB and DPS left the plenary hall immediately before the vote. The reason was the proposal of GERB for abolishing the derogation for the import of Russian oil within a period of three days, which was rejected by the parliament. The meeting was adjourned and the next no-confidence vote procedure is due to take place tomorrow.
