We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria-Save Sofia will for the third time propose Boris Bonev to head the Sofia Municipal Council, municipal councilor Andrey Zografski said for BNT. Boris Bonev failed to receive the required 31 votes in the previous votes. The councilor stressed that the coalition he represents will not govern with GERB either covertly or openly, but expects support from GERB to elect a chairman of the Sofia Municipal Council.

"The assemblage will most likely move from national to local level. At the moment GERB is twisting the arms of We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria-Save Sofia to show them that they can not do without them", said municipal councilor Deyan Nikolov from Vazrazhdane party.

According to Blue Sofia municipal councilor Vili Lilkov, it is necessary to sign a governance agreement, which should be supported by a clear majority to avoid the so-called floating majorities, which often turn into economic ones. ''If Boris Bonev is nominated again, maybe he will become a problem for the municipal council and he will have to decide whether to take a step back", the councilor said for the BNR.
