The traditional Festival of Bulgaria, organised by the Japan-Bulgaria Association, took place in Tokyo for the twentieth consecutive year. The event brought together representatives of the Association, former ambassadors of Japan to Bulgaria, educators and cultural workers, businessmen, journalists, friends of Bulgaria and representatives of the Bulgarian community, the Bulgarian Embassy to Japan announced on Facebook.

Visitors to the festival enjoyed traditional Bulgarian dishes and wines. They had the opportunity to buy Bulgarian souvenirs - rose products, jams, herbal tea, honey, wine and brandy, sweets. The Japanese folklore group "Balkan" performed traditional Bulgarian horo chain dances and the guests joined in.

Ambassador Marieta Arabadjieva thanked the Japan-Bulgaria Association for its long-standing efforts to promote Bulgaria and Bulgarian culture in Japan.
