At the opening of the info day of the competition for 5G projects under the Connecting Europe Facility, he urged schools, hospitals, municipal and public organizations to take part in the new competition which provides 75% grant funding. The competition is an extension of the initiative for building public points of access to high speed Wi-Fi in public spaces - WiFi4EU. 91% of Bulgarian municipalities which applied have been granted financing and the country is top of the list in the number of vouchers granted within the EU. Efforts are being made under the Recovery and Resilience Plan so that more than 400,000 Bulgarians in remote areas may gain access to high-speed internet and 5G.
