Bulgaria's MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk from the Renew Europe Group, together with Romanian MEP Vlad Botos and Austrian MEP Helmut  Brandstätter will protest on Monday, December 4, in front of the Ministry of the Interior in Vienna against the veto imposed by Austria on Bulgaria and Romania's Schengen membership.

"The refusal to accept Bulgaria and Romania in the Schengen area causes disappointment and dissatisfaction among citizens who rightly aspire to the same rights as other EU countries. The demonstration aims to show our desire and the desire of the citizens in our countries for full integration, unity and the removal of discriminatory barriers, which we believe will meet with understanding in not a small part of Austrian society. This is not only about the Schengen area, but about the recognition, respect and observance of the principles of equality and solidarity in the EU. This is a collective voice demanding justice," said Kyuchyuk.

On Facebook, Kyuchyuk calls on all citizens who feel this veto is unfair to join the demonstration.
