The Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) at Sofia University is among the 50 organizations in the world that received an invitation to participate in the historic first global Alliance for Artificial Intelligence.

The project was initiated by IBM and Meta, and the two companies announced it in the USA. It aims to bring together the world's greatest minds from the private sector, academia and institutions for the sake of building open, safe and responsible global artificial intelligence, the press center of the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science said. The two companies said this is a key moment for the development of artificial intelligence and its future. INSAIT joined leading scientific institutions such as NASA, CERN, Harvard University, Yale University, the University of California-Berkeley, the University of Zurich, as well as technology companies such as Sony, Linux, Intel, AMD and Dell. INSAIT is the only representative of Eastern Europe in the project and registered its name among the founders of the initiative, reported BTA.
