Cardiologists join forces in the name of cardiovascular health of Bulgarians

A memorandum will unite efforts in healthcare for better cardiovascular health and lower mortality in Bulgaria. The goal is the creation of a National Cardiovascular Health Plan. The memorandum will be signed at a forum in Sofia on December 15 at the initiative of the Bulgarian Society of Cardiology. The focus of the new plan will be prevention.

According to data from the health profile of Bulgaria for 2019, more than 80% of deaths among men and women are caused by cardiovascular and oncological diseases, the Bulgarian Society of Cardiology points out.
