Charges have been brought against two of the Bulgarian sailors on the Verila ship detained in Ireland with cocaine. This is reported by the Irish media Irish Times, quoted by BNT. The charges against the two Bulgarians - 35 and 32 years old - are due to the seized cocaine on board with a total value of over 20 million euros. Four other sailors out of a total of six detained in the case have been released.
The vessel detained on December 20 in the Irish port of Foynes, County Limerick, was carrying grain from Canada. There was a crew of 18 on board - 17 Bulgarians and one Ukrainian.
