The Bulgarian Agrarian Chamber insists on meeting with Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov today, as well as with the Minister of Finance and Minister of Agriculture, in order to discuss with them the lack of a state policy to support agricultural production.
In a message to the media, the chamber informs that farmers are worried about the lack of political will to provide 225.9 million euros of state aid in next year's budget under the temporary framework for state aid measures in crisis and transition to support the economy after Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
If the farmers do not receive the funds in April 2024 and do not achieve their other demands related to the legislative policy, BAC will be ready to start indefinite protest actions.
