Bulgaria has 100% digitised customs import and export procedures

Photo: архив

Customs import, export and transit procedures have been 100% digitised thanks to the introduction of new versions of information systems at the Customs Agency, the agency said. The agency points out that 60% of companies believe that the digitalisation, carried out with European funds, has led to the simplification of procedures and, accordingly, to the easing of conditions for doing business in our country and to savings.

The Customs Agency points out that Bulgaria is among the first seven EU countries to have implemented the new transit system, with another 19 countries expected to join in 2024.
