Boil Karaneychev's The Grey Scary has a silver lining

2023 was a more than successful year for young musician Boil Karaneychev. It started with an award in the BNR TOP 20 charts in the Rising Star category for his debut solo song Free; he also released a second single Delphinium; and he had the official launch of his third single The Grey Scary, which earned him a statuette in the Debut category of the BNR Spring '23 Contest for New Bulgarian Pop and Rock Music.
"The Grey Scary" is about a very personal aspect of Boil Karaneychev's world, we learn from himself: "The Grey Scary is partly what's out there around me, partly what's in my head. Because at some point you realise that not everything is so grey and scary. There are times in everyone's life - difficult, anxious, depressive times - that make you think that everything is... grey and scary. This has been a struggle for me personally for some years now - a struggle with panic and anxiety disorders that I have found the courage to no longer hide. And I hope that if there are people out there who suffer from that and listen to this, that they'll see that there's a silver lining in the song itself, in the lyrics. And everything will be all right in the end!
