The unregulated goods arrive mainly from Turkey, China and Hong Kong. The most frequently detained goods are packaging materials, followed by clothing and accessories, perfumes and cosmetics, labels and stickers, bags, wallets, car parts, shoes.

According to Georgi Georgiev, 60% of the items are confiscated at the Captain Andreevo checkpoint on the Bulgarian-Turkish border, but active work is also being done at the port of Varna.
