“We are in agreement with We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria (PP/DB) that a snap election is one of the possible options even though that is not the outcome we want,” said, in an interview with public service TV BNT, municipal councilor from Save Sofia Boris Bonev in a comment on the fact the Sofia municipal council has found it impossible to elect a chairperson.

“You have put forward four options for a way out of the crisis, you have carried out negotiations in all possible formats, taking into consideration the demands of all the rest, you have asked for some kind of clear plan on what reforms to conduct, what regulations to have amended at a temporary chairmanship of the municipal council, but you get no constructiveness in exchange,” Boris Bonev said. The main problem the capital city faces is that the deadlines for the European programmes will be missed and the municipal budget will not be adopted, he said further.
