The only state-owned company in the dairy sector LB Bulgaricum is again operating at maximum capacity, and using 100% Bulgarian milk, said Minister of Economy Bogdan Bogdanov who visited the LB Bulgaricum factory in Vidin.

He was categorical that the company is not going to be privatized. It will be a priority for the government to renovate the entire factory and to bring in young people to work there, he said. In Minister Bgdanov’s words, under the previous company management ineffective decisions have been made leading to massive losses for the company, and in the past few months it has been working at 60% of its production capacity. Thanks to its cooperation with the Japanese company Meiji, the LB Bulgaricum science centre will also continue its work.
