The protests by farmers and agricultural producers are into their second day.
Farmers from the region of Blagoevgrad brought a herd of goats out onto Struma motorway. Agricultural producers blocked off the roads leading to the border check points Kardam and Durankulak, the Dobrich-Silistra road, as well as the main road Sofia-Varna at Sheremetya village near Veliko Turnovo. The protesters from Plovdiv blocked off the roundabout at Trud village on the Plovdiv-Karlovo road. Agricultural producers attempted to block off Trakia motorway but were prevented from doing so by the law enforcement officers policing the protest and were restricted to the emergency lane.
