After the draw for the 2024 UEFA Nations League, the Bulgarian national team is in Group C-3, alongside the teams of Luxembourg, Northern Ireland and Belarus. The Bulgarian national squad has thus avoided rivals like Sweden and Romania, or Slovakia.

This means they stand a real chance of occupying one of the top two positions in their group. The matches will be played in September and November. Each team will play six matches in their group, one home and one away against the other three nations in the group. The four group winners in Leagues B and C, as well as the two group winners in League D, are automatically promoted to Leagues A, B and C respectively. Bulgarian national coach Ilian Iliev stated there were two tasks for 2024. To build up the team’s style in the four upcoming matches in the spring, and then to try and win in the Nations League C-3 group.
