The English-language edition of Vera Mutafchieva’s novel "The Case of Cem" was presented at the Bulgarian Embassy in Washington. The novel was presented by Angela Rodel, whose English translation breathed new life into the historical novel and once again brought Bulgarian literature to the world stage", the Bulgarian Embassy in Washington announced on its Facebook page. In the conversation, which was opened by Ambassador Georgi Panayotov, Angela Rodel spoke about the responsibility in conveying the spirit of the times, the meaning of words and nuances. She also talked about her personal journey towards understanding Bulgarian customs and traditions.

Writer Linda Kinstler, representatives of the Bulgarian community in the United States and many friends of Bulgaria also attended the event. Robin Brooks, Special Advisor to the Vice President for Europe, Russia, Multilateral Affairs, and Democracy was also present at the event.
