Between 18:00 pm and 24:00 pm on February 24, the building of the Council of Ministers will be illuminated in blue and yellow (the national colours of Ukraine) on the occasion of the second anniversary of Russia's war against Ukraine and the tenth anniversary of the annexation of Crimea, the government press office said. The initiative of Defense Minister Todor Tagarev was supported by Premier Nikolay Denkov.

With this message, Bulgaria gives courage to Ukrainians to continue their heroic fight and shows them that they are not alone. It is also a sign to the Bulgarian citizens to support the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of the countries and to oppose the aggression of authoritarian regimes. Illuminating iconic buildings in the colours of the Ukrainian flag and raising Ukrainian flags symbolize the unity between the partners in the European Union and NATO.
