For the second year in a row, one of Chicago's most iconic buildings will be lit up in the colours of the Bulgarian national flag on March 3 - Liberation Day.

The initiative to illuminate the antennas of the Willis Tower, the third tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, in white, green and red from sunset to 11 p.m. local time on Sunday, March 3, is the fruit of excellent cooperation between the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Chicago and the team of the company that owns the building. This was announced by the Consul General of Bulgaria in Chicago, Svetoslav Stankov, on his Facebook page.

Built in 1973, the 442.3-metre Willis Tower has held the record for the world's tallest building for 25 years.
