Public memorial to the remains of Patriarch Neophyte is on 15 March

The public memorial of Patriarch Neophyte will be held on 15 March. People can pay their respects at the Patriarchal Cathedral "St. Alexander Nevsky" from 9 am. 

The funeral will take place on Saturday 16 March. A funeral mass will be held at St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral at 9.30 a.m., after which his body will be taken in procession to St Nedelya, where he will be laid to rest, Metropolitan Cyprian said after an extraordinary meeting of the Holy Synod.

Metropolitan Ioan of Varna and Veliki Preslav is the appointed prelat in charge of the funeral arrangements and a provisional Deputy Primate of the Holy Synod.

On Tuesday or Wednesday, a Deputy Primate will be appointed to be responsible for electing a new Patriarch within the next 4 months.
