Students for INSAIT internships selected from among applicants from 56 countries

University students from 56 countries applied for internships at the Bulgarian Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology INSAIT, a special unit of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, among them students from leading universities in the US, Germany, the UK, Switzerland, China, India, the Ministry of Education and Science has announced.

23 students have been approved, or under 3% of the applicants, among them 4 students from Bulgaria. The applicants approved are holders of gold medals from international Olympiads and competitions, some already have prestigious scientific publications. The approved interns include students who are among the top 1% of most talented students in Iran, India and China. As of June, they will be working with researchers from the institute for a period of 12 weeks.

INSAIT’s successes in AI, computer vision, foundational models have been boosting interest in the institute’s work.
