The resigned Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zhivko Kotsev, took part in a briefing by Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and announced that he was withdrawing his resignation and remaining in office. According to him, he acted under enormous psychological and moral pressure. According to Denkov, the pressure was exerted by the Minister of the Interior, Kalin Stoyanov, who also appears in the proposed new caretaker cabinet and by "very high-ranking persons from the prosecutor's office". Kotsev met with President Rumen Radev, who is familiar with the case.

The Prime Minister and the President have agreed that the procedure for the dismissal of Zhivko Kotsev from the post of Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will not be moved forward.

It became known that during yesterday's action against the Customs agency, the Anti-Corruption Commission also searched the home of Chief Secretary Zhivko Kotsev.
