Bulgaria wins gold, silver and bronze at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Sofia

Boryana Kaleyn took the all-around title at the 2024 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Sofia. Kaleyn performed excellently in the clubs and ribbon routines and won the title. Stiliana Nikolova, who was leading after the first day, made mistakes in the clubs routine and lost the first place. Daria Atamanov (Israel) finished third.

Boryana Kaleyn made it to all four apparatus finals, whereas Nikolova will probably miss the clubs routine.

After an exceptional performance with three ribbons and two balls, Bulgaria’s rhythmic gymnastics group worked a miracle and with the best score of the day managed to win the bronze medal. A day earlier, they started unconvincingly and finished seventh in the five hoops event. Israel won the gold medals and Italy claimed the silver medals.

Magdalina Minevska, Sofia Ivanova, Kameliya Petrova, Rachel Stoyanov, and Margarita Vasileva will compete in both finals.

Margarita Vasileva was proclaimed by sports journalists and photographers as the queen of the World Cup and earned a silver crown encrusted with white and purple cubic zirconia stones.
