Nurglyul Salimova has ended in a draw with Russia's Kateryna Lagno in the penultimate round of the World Chess Candidates Tournament in Toronto.

In her 13th game the Bulgarian chess maser with the white pieces managed to get out of a very difficult position and on the 45th move the rivals agreed to a draw. Thus Nurgyul Salimova with an asset of 5 points shares the seventh place with the Ukrainian Anna Muzychuk.

In the last round of the tournament the Bulgarian chess player will face the other Russian - Aleksandra Goryachkina with the black pieces.

Leading in the provisional standings is Tan Zhongyi with 8.5 points, who can only be beaten by her compatriot Lei Tingjie. This means that the women's world title will remain in China for the next two years.
