Sofia is hosting the meeting of the Vienna Economic Forum

World leaders, business experts and entrepreneurs will gather today in the Sofia-based residence Boyana to discuss the most current challenges and opportunities facing the regional and global economy.

This year, Bulgaria is hosting the meeting of the Vienna Economic Forum which was established in 2004 with the strategic goal of promoting regional cooperation between member states in the area from the Adriatic to the Black Sea.

"The Council of Ministers and the Vienna Economic Forum will jointly organize Vienna Economic Talks in Sofia in the period April 21-22 in Sofia," reads the government decision from the beginning of this year. The forum will feature various panels and discussions with the participation of representatives from over 20 countries.
