The National Assembly to hold an extraordinary sitting on May 21

The National Assembly will hold an extraordinary sitting at 1 pm on May 21, the Parliament’s presiding body decided. MPs will hear caretaker Premier Dimitar Glavchev regarding the upcoming increase in pensions from July 1. The request for the extraordinary sitting of the National Assembly was submitted from 51 MPs from "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria’’. They want Parliament to guarantee that pensions will rise by 11% from July 1. 

The Bulgarian Socialist Party demanded that the Minister of Energy and the Chairman of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission also be heard regarding the information about the increase in electricity and heating prices.
