Freedom, democracy and human rights are the highest achievements of our civilization, for which generations have made efforts and sacrifices. This was what President Rumen Radev said at the opening of an office in Rome of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), BTA has reported.

Rumen Radev, who arrived earlier today on a two-day visit, was welcomed by the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella. The opening of the office was also attended by the President of Greece, Katerina Sakellaropoulou. According to the president, these rights deserve continued efforts in today's time of uncertainty, growing challenges and rapid change. "Because it is our values that we must defend every day, which are our moral compass that we must follow in times of trials," the Bulgarian head of state said.
