Grigor Dimitrov advances to the second round of the 2024 French Open

Bulgaria's best tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has advanced to the second round of the 2024 French Open. The number 10 seed Dimitrov defeated Aleksandar Kovacevic (USA) 6:4, 6:3, 6:4. The match lasted for 1 hour and 58 minutes. Dimitrov and Kovacevic each served 8 aces in the match, while the Bulgarian tennis player made 35 winners and only two double faults.

Grigor Dimitrov is participating for the 14th consecutive year in the main draw. His next opponent will be the winner of the match between Fábián Marozsán (Hungary) and Kazakhstan’s qualifier Mikhail Kukushkin. In 2020 and 2023, Grigor Dimitrov reached the fourth round of Roland Garros.
