Election day abroad is over

Election day abroad ended at 6:00 am Bulgarian time on June 10. Voting had gone smoothly on 5 continents, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. Bulgarians in Los Angeles were the last to exercise their right to vote. Bulgarian citizens were able to vote in 769 polling stations in 60 countries. The largest number of polling stations was opened in Europe.

Polling day in the United Kingdom ended at 10:00 pm Bulgarian time, where voting took place in 118 polling stations, including on the Isle of Man. There were 103 polling stations in Germany, 64 in Spain, 28 in Greece, 27 in Italy, 16 in Belgium, 15 in Austria and 15 in France. 55 polling stations were opened in the USA. 16 polling stations were opened in Canada.

Bulgarians had the opportunity to vote from the West Coast of the USA and Canada to Osaka (Japan), from Singapore to Auckland (New Zealand), from Tromsø (Norway) to the Republic of South Africa.
