Weather forecast for 12 June

Scorching Wednesday with afternoon showers expected

A code yellow warning for rain has been issued in 10 districts in northern Bulgaria, while an extreme heat warning is in effect for 12 districts in the south and at sea

Wednesday will start sunny until midday, then cloudy with rain and thunderstorms in northern Bulgaria and the mountains. In the evening, rain is expected in the south-east, with conditions favourable for hail. Minimum temperatures will be between 16 and 22°C, with 16°C in Sofia. Maximum temperatures will be between 29 and 38°C, with 31°C in the capital.

The Black Sea coast will be sunny in the morning and before noon, but clouds and rain will develop in the afternoon. Air temperatures will be between 28 and 33°C, and water temperatures will be 22-24°C. The sea swell will be 2.

In the mountains, it will be sunny until midday, followed by local showers and strong winds on the ridges. Maximum temperatures will reach 27°C at 1,200 m and 17°C at 2,000 m.

Thursday will be warm with the same weather conditions.
