The World Bank predicts a more moderate improvement in Bulgaria's economic growth in 2024 and 2025. In its latest report "Global Economic Prospects" the institution expects a slight acceleration in Bulgaria's GDP growth from 1.8% in 2023 to 2.1% in 2024. In January, the World Bank predicted that Bulgaria’s GDP will increase with 2.4% in 2024. The bank predicts that in 2025, Bulgaria’s economic growth will accelerate to 3,1%. However, six months ago, the bank predicted an even higher growth of 3.3%.

The World Bank upgraded its outlook for the global economy, estimating that it will expand 2.6% this year thanks to sustained growth in the United States. Stronger-than-expected growth in the United States accounts for 80% of the upgraded outlook.
