June 13-20 Sofia is hosting the 16th edition of the international literary festival CapitalLiterature. The theme this year is Poetry/Nature, dedicated to the bond between poetic art and the environment in a world in which nature is not a romantic hideaway but a question of survival.

The forum is expected to be attended by poets, editors, publishers, environmentalists and literary professionals from Bulgaria, the US, Ireland and Scotland, the organizers from the Elizabeth Kostova foundation say. The programme includes a poetry writing workshop for young people, poetry readings, lectures, discussions and a translation workshop. On June 13 there will be a literary reading at Hug Me gallery with the participation of poets Linda Gregerson, USA, Nadezhda Radulova, Bulgaria and Nick Laird, Northern Ireland.
