The 50th Parliament failed to elect a National Assembly speaker at the beginning of its first session. GERB-SDS nominated Raya Nazaryan, Vazrazhdane nominated Petar Petrov, There Is Such a People nominated Silvi Kirilov and Velichie nominated Yuliana Mateeva for the position.
