GERB leader Boyko Borissov said that his party would no longer take part in negotiations and that the next step would be elections.

Speaking on the sidelines of Parliament, Borissov pointed out that after the rejection of GERB's government proposal, it was clear that new elections were on the way.

"My task was to win the elections and to win them decisively, not decisively but very decisively - over 11 per cent ahead of the DPS," Borissov said, adding that he had said long before the Movement for Rights and Freedoms processes began that he would not support their mandate. Borissov stressed that this time there would only be a government of GERB and SDS because they owed it to their voters.
