The National Association of Grain Producers has announced full readiness to support the fight against fires. Twenty-one coordinators from different regions have been deployed to assist the fire brigades as needed and to send volunteers with machinery.
Farmers have agricultural equipment that can be helpful in hauling water trucks and making clearings in necessary areas to prevent the fire from spreading and to protect farmland, forests and people's homes, the NRA said.
In places, this cooperation has already worked successfully and several fires have been extinguished thanks to the joint efforts of the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Public Protection and volunteers.
