Fire rages in Greece near the border with Bulgaria

A fire has started in Greece a kilometre and a half from the Bulgarian border and is slowly moving towards it. The fire is located in an extremely inaccessible area. On the Greek side, two helicopters and one aircraft are extinguishing the fire.

Employees of the state forest farms from the village of Katuntsi and the town of Gotse Delchev in Bulgaria's Blagoevgrad region have been in the Slavyanka mountains, in the border area on Bulgarian territory, since early this morning to make clearings and clear the places where there are flammable plants.

The concern is because of the wind, which is fueling the fire.
