Bulgaria is following statements by North Macedonia regarding Corridor No. 8 with increasing concern

The government of Bulgaria is following, with increasing concern, the statements and declarations by officials from North Macedonia, aimed at violating international commitments in the sphere of infrastructure connectivity, including the reallocation of funding for the construction of the railway component of Corridor No. 8 towards another transport project, the government press service points out. 

North Macedonia has assumed and confirmed its commitment to the infrastructure connectivity between the two countries multiple times, including in a joint declaration by Albania, Bulgaria, Italy and North Macedonia from November 2021, the government press service states further.
