GERB will negotiate with ITN but will not support a regular cabinet

The leader of GERB-SDS, Boyko Borissov, confirmed that the coalition will hold talks with the ITN party, which received the third mandate to form a government. However, he added that his MPs would not vote for a cabinet within this National Assembly.

"We have a program that we will put on the table; we have already held talks with them during the first mandate. I think that these conversations are useful because they would teach us wisdom for the time after the elections", Boyko Borissov said.

Meanwhile, the BSP and There is Such a People (ITN) found similarities in their positions and views during ITN's consultations on the third mandate to form a government. "The main thing is that we both support the idea of a regular cabinet, because it is not normal to go to early parliamentary elections six times in three years," said Borislav Gutsanov, leader of the Left Party's parliamentary group.

"In total, we have 66 MPs in this parliament so far, that's the first political force of statesmen who want to work for society without further delay," said ITN's Stanislav Balabanov. He advised other political leaders to think more responsibly about what lies ahead in the coming days.

"In general, what we have in common is the goal of forming a cabinet, the burden now seems to be on the shoulders of We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB) and GERB," said Toshko Yordanov, leader of the ITN parliamentary group.
