Magomed Ramazanov wins third Olympic gold for Bulgaria – in freestyle wrestling

Magomed Ramazanov won a third Olympic title for Bulgaria at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, after overpowering the legend in 86 kg. freestyle wrestling, Olympic gold and medal holder and three-times world champion Hassan Yazdani Charati, Iran.

Earlier, Semen Novikov in freestyle wrestling (87 kgs.) and  Karlos Nasar, weightlifting also won gold medals for Bulgaria.

31-year old Magomed Ramazanov, who was born in Dagestan, is competing for Bulgaria as of this season. His biggest success has been in the European championships in Rome in 2020, when he was competing for Russia, where he won the silver in the men’s 79 kgs.
