Bulgarian football legend Hristo Stoichkov has accepted an invitation from FIFA President Gianni Infantino to join his team. "It is a great honor for me to accept Gianni Infantino’s invitation to work for FIFA. I will represent both myself and Bulgaria at FIFA. Football has given me the chance to travel around the world, to see how different places develop and what they need. I will do my best to help. Eastern Europe is an endless source of talent and it must remain so", Stoichkov wrote on Facebook. Stoichkov did not specify a particular position, but according to sports media, he will be in charge of the Balkans and Eastern Europe at the FIFA headquarters.
