In the period January-April 2024 Bulgaria’s main export of cheese and curd was to Greece (882 tons, or a drop of 48.6% compared to the same period of 2023), the United Kingdom (871 t, or an increase of 22.1%) and the USA (844 t, growth of 22.1%). Regarding the import of cheese in Bulgaria, the ministry states that in 2023 the main importers in Bulgaria were Germany (10,574 tons), Poland (6,921 tons) and the Netherlands (6,475 tons).
