The town of Kazanlak in Bulgaria's Rose Valley has been selected to host the International Contemporary Violin, Viola, Cello and Guitar Luthier Competition in 2025.

The forum will be held during the popular Rose Festival. This was announced by the Kazanlak municipality on Facebook. This prestigious event, named after the world-famous virtuoso luthier Antonio Stradivari, has been held for 90 years, mostly in Stradivari's hometown of Cremona, Italy. The competition is organised by Gualtiero Nicolini, President of the National Association of Italian Luthiers ANLAI (Associazione Nazionale Liuteria Artistica Italiana). Luthiers from all over the world will compete with their unique instruments made especially for the occasion.

A very valuable violin made in Cremona in 1730 by the great violin maker Antonio Stradivari will also arrive in Kazanlak. Residents and guests of the city will have the opportunity to hear its "voice", which distinguishes it from all other instruments, and to see the almost perfect precision of its workmanship.
