This weekend, the resort village of Starozagorski Bani is hosting the 18th National Thracian Folklore Festival "Bogorodichna Stapka''. Guests have the opportunity to visit a plein air event, art workshops and creative workshops for children. The stages are set up in the central park of Starozagorski Bani. Once again, an out-of-competition programme is planned, where the visiting formations present rituals and customs typical of their regions.

There are 24 designated areas showcasing traditional crafts such as basket weaving, knife making, pottery, weaving, wool felting, etc.

For the first time this year, there are demonstrations of woodworking, decoupage on old roof tiles, prehistoric artifacts and other traditional activities. The Stara Zagora Municipality will award 50 medals, 50 plaques and a diploma for contribution to the preservation and promotion of traditions.

In 2023, the festival attracted thousands of fans of Bulgarian folk art. Nearly 4,000 people participated on the two competition stages and took part in the accompanying events.
