Energy minister to discuss new NPP Kozloduy reactors during visit to South Korea

During working visits to Seoul and Tokyo, Bulgaria’s caretaker Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov is to sign agreements with South Korea and Japan, approved by the government a few days ago, on promoting cooperation in the sphere of nuclear and hydropower technologies, renewable energy sources, hydrogen and tackling the problem of carbon emissions, the Energy Ministry announced, as quoted by Mediapool. Other important issues to be discussed include the construction, by the Korean Hyundai, of two new units at NPP Kozloduy with Westinghouse reactors, as well as the reconstruction of the Chaira Pumped Storage Hydro Power Plant which has been out of commission after a turbine breakdown.
