Rumen Radev expects the election commission to monitor the implementation of the provisions of the Electoral Code

"I expect the Central Election Commission to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Code", President Rumen Radev told journalists in Radnevo, where he attended a ceremony on the 60th anniversary of the declaration of Radnevo as a town.

"This is not about internal party dramas or election campaigns, but about our fate as a nation. If a society continues to act with indifference, it is doomed to collapse", said President Radev. According to him, ''the current situation is due to the acquiescence to the appropriation and destruction of businesses, the corruption of institutions and their transformation into instruments of oppression, with protection for the key figures involved in the theft of the century. In Rumen Radev’s words, highly discredited figures with huge appetites enter the National Assembly to control state resources and the fate of the Bulgarian people. "The most insulting thing for the intelligence of Bulgarians and for our Euro-Atlantic partners is that this is being done under the guise of Euro-Atlanticism by individuals sanctioned by our strategic partners for grand corruption", noted President Radev.
With their behaviour, they are destroying democracy and compromising our European future'', said Rumen Radev.

Rumen Radev expects the institutions, the services, the prosecutor’s office, the parliament and the political parties to take a stance on this fundamental issue and to take adequate actions.
