Bulgaria is one of the leading countries in Europe in terms of the largest number of health problems per capita. The data were presented during the 11th Annual Congress of the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and Spa Tourism, which is being held in Burgas, September 9-10, under the auspices of President Rumen Radev.

The most common diseases and health issues among Bulgarians are obesity, diabetes, hypertension, chronic heart or lung disease, as well as oncological diseases. As a reason for this, experts point to the lack of a healthy culture and the neglect of a healthy lifestyle.
