60% of Bulgarians declare confidence in the European Union

The majority of Bulgarians declare stable trust in democratic models, in the European Union and  in the democratic world in general. This is shown by the results of a survey by the sociological agency "Gallup International" conducted between August 28 and September 5, 2024 among 802 people. 

Leading countries in terms of trust among Bulgarian society are Germany (49.9%), Hungary (41%), France (38.9%), Great Britain (37.3%). Russia is fifth in trust with 29.8%, followed by the US with 27.2% and China with 23.6%.

Confidence in the European Union remains traditionally high - 59.5%, and in NATO it is at the level of 40.1%.
